Adelanto Detention Center, Adelanto, CA

This detention center is located in the County of San Bernardino and involves the expansion of the Adelanto Detention Center. The existing complex includes administration, support functions, and a 706 bed detention facility. New construction will expand the complex by adding three connecting detention modules, having a capacity of 1,368 beds, and additional support/services facilities. The combined complex will have a capacity of 2,074 beds.New construction includes a Support Building containing intake and booking/ transfer and release functions; medical/dental clinic; X-Ray suite, food storage; loading/unloading services, video arraignment and property storage.

The six detention units contain multiple levels and a mezzanine. The Units are subdivided into separate security segments around a central control station. Each security segment includes cells and a common assembly area. Additional support functions are included in each Unit.

This complex will be protected by both wet and dry sprinkler systems provided by Wolverine Fire Protection.
