Requirements:

Graduate Fire Protection Engineer or Construction Manager with 7 years of related experience. Will be onsite full time and responsible for overall management of Contractor Quality Control (CQC) ensuring that construction, including that of any subcontractors and suppliers, complies with our contract. Must complete Construction Quality Management for Contractors Course (CQM).  

Brief Project Overview:

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Construction of new fire alarm systems to replace existing systems in various buildings. Scope also includes providing a new fire sprinkler system and a new dedicated underground fire protection water service with connection to the existing base water distribution system. All installation, testing, inspection and replacement shall be in accordance with applicable UFC, NFPA, and Air Force Base standards.

Project Manager - Fire Alarm, Los Alamos, NM

Wolverine Fire Protection is currently looking for a full-time, long term project manager to lead and manage construction/installation projects in Los Alamos, NM. Responsibilities for this position will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships and open communication with clients, Wolverine staff, subcontractors and vendors
  • Estimating new project opportunities and assisting with bid and proposal preparations
  • Managing/tracking all project documentation, including work plans, costs, schedules, change orders, submittals, status reports, etc.

Alarm and Suppression Inspection / Installation Technician

Department: Life Safety Division

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform inspection and testing of fire protection, fire alarm and fire suppression systems. Installation of fire alarm systems and Fire suppression releasing systems.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule inspections in most cost effective manner to be performed.
Perform inspection procedures as required under NFPA guidelines and customer requirements
Complete proper forms for inspection reporting
Installation of fire alarm system and wiring associated with suppression systems per NFPA guidelines and customer requirements.
Troubleshoot all aspects of fire alarm and suppression system including panels, wiring, and devices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.
Knowledge of fire alarm panels and fire alarm panel programming.

This position is based out of our S. Windsor, Connecticut location

Responsible for the successful execution of service testing and sales installation projects. This specialist will ensure that his/her inspections/service projects are completed in a safe, high quality and cost-effective manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Fire Alarm System Designer

Wolverine Fire Protection Co. has an immediate opening for a full time Fire Alarm System Designer in our Mt. Morris, MI office. The primary responsibility of this person is to provide AutoCAD based fire alarm design. The ideal candidate will have an understating NFPA Code, fire alarm system requirements, basic knowledge of AutoCAD, will be self-motivated and possess good communication and organization skills.

  • Perform computer assisted drafting and design to support engineering services

Fire Protection System Designer

Summary of Position:
Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems design for both new design/build and remodel projects, monitor progress, evaluate quality of design and take necessary action to keep project engineering on schedule.

Job Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the design of multiple projects simultaneously. Produce Material cutsheets and equipment lists. Work with project management and field personnel to effectively implement field changes.

Requirements:
MUST have fire protection system design background with a minimum of 5 years of design experience and be on a NICET track. Must have the ability to coordinate, plan and supervise.
Must be a self-directed independent worker that is also an innovative thinker. Knowledge of and proficiency with CAD design software and the ability to do hydraulic calculations required.
Must have the ability to coordinate plans and specifications with field installers to clarify and incorporate required changes. Must have detailed knowledge of fire suppression design, construction aspects, and project controls. Technical training and/or experience in the areas of fire sprinkler system design and specialty applications.
